© 2010  sim-construct.com - all rights reserved The real thing Nothing but good about the competition (if any), but we were not satisfied with the quality and realism of rudder pedals for our own simulator. Pedals must look, sound and feel like ‘the real thing’ (photo left). We consider ourselves very lucky that we KNOW what real pedals look like and we KNOW how it feels steering a real-life B737 sim on short final with reasonable crosswind and land the kite soft and smooth. Soon after the release of our Cockpit Overhead frame we were asked to create rudder pedals in line with the robust quality of our other product. We said ‘Yes’ without hesitation. The creative process Nothing is more easy then saying ‘Yes We Can’, even if you realy mean it. We wanted to make it as real as it gets and started on the CAD-drawing board. That took us more time then we initially thought. Our first prototype did not pass our minimum realism level for the push pressure on the rudder. So we had to redesign this part. Inside are now four (!) gas springs in two pairs for rudder and brake pressure. The high quality electronics completed the pack. Specifications Exact replica of real pedals from a B737 (Airbus pedals will follow!) - Pedals move/slide back and forth - Toe-brakes left and right for differential braking - Nose-wheel steering - USB interface Some pictures of the finished product... The USB connector is on the back side of the unit. © 2011  sim-construct.com - all rights reserved © 2009-2012  sim-construct.com - all rights reserved
